Despite teasing a new album, Wizkid, the multiple award-winning singer, has hinted that he is on a five-year hiatus from music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, the Afrobeats star took to his Instagram story to share a direct message received from an inquisitive fan asking when he will release a new song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfa drop songs now abi ogun they k*ll you,\u201d the fan wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his response, the singer said he would not be dropping music in the next four to five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also humorously contemplated a range of activities he would indulge in during his break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Afrobeats star urged his fans to prioritise their well-being and cherish moments with loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Una papa dey holiday oo. Make I enjoy. Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small. Or 5. Or I fit still go dey play ball now,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOr make I start dey play golf or fifa he or wrestling b<\/em>tch! All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn some G shit. I hope you motherf**kers alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a huge fanbase, several awards, and honorary mentions, Wizkid is among the leading names in African music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While teasing the new album, Wizkid said he has made enough music to retire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
