It took Meek Mill about 7 working days to respond to Drake’s diss track but Nicki evened the score with Miley in a matter of 0.001 seconds at this year’s MTV VMAs.

During her acceptance speech after winning Best Hip-Hop Video for “Anaconda”, Minaj thanked her Barbz for their support throughout her career and encouraged young people to seek independence. This was followed by a shout out to her pastor, which wasn’t weird at all compared to the contrast of what came next. Nicki concluded her speech with a call out to Miley Cyrus who had shared her opinions on the female in a New York Times interview days earlier. Nicki said, “…And now, back to this b**** that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?!” to which Miley replied, “Nicki, congratuf***kinglations.”

Minaj’s anger stems from Miley’s comment during the New York Times interview in which she was asked about the rapper’s Twitter spat with Taylor Swift. Miley reportedly said, “I saw that. I didn’t really get into it. I know there was some beef. I don’t really know. There’s a way to talk to people… What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite. I think there’s a way you speak to people with openness and love.”

Mark Angel reveals why he stopped managing Emmanuella and Success

Mark Angel has addressed speculation surrounding his management of teen comedians Emmanuella and Success.

During a recent TikTok live session, the skit maker, who is the head of Mark Angel Comedy, revealed that he stepped down as the manager of the young stars due to his increasingly busy schedule.

Angel disclosed that Emmanuella and Success are now under the management of a professional agency.

“If you go to their handles you will see the contacts. They have agencies that manage them. There was a time I used to manage Emmanuel and Success,” he said.

“When they were kids. But now, I do not manage them. I have more work to do now. I cannot manage the kids.”

Angel assured his fans that his connection with Emmanuella and Success would remain strong. He also expressed his commitment to continue to work with them.

“There are agencies that manage them individually. But I still work with them,” he added.

In an interview with Teju Babyface last year, the 33-year-old Port Harcourt-born skit maker revealed that he was once “married but divorced secretly”.

The content creator, however, did not provide details about when the marriage and divorce took place.

The comedian added that with his current relationship status, he would not encourage his daughter to date someone like himself.

Mark Angel Comedy is a comedy channel on YouTube that gained momentum in 2013. It has millions of subscribers and more than a billion views.

Kennis Music almost signed Plantashun Boiz before 2Baba went solo, says Kenny Ogungbe

Kenny Ogungbe, the founder of Kennis Music, says his label was interested in signing Plantashun Boiz before 2Baba launched his solo career.

In a chat with Osi Suave, the media personality, Ogungbe revealed that he offered a contract to Blackface, a member of the now-defunct group after they collaborated with Tony Tetuila.

He said the deal, however, never materialised.

Ogungbe explained that 2Baba expressed his desire to pursue a solo career, which he fully supported.

“2Face is a brother, but first of all, a contract was given to Plantashun Boiz because of their involvement with Tony Tetuila on the album ‘Omode Meta Shere’. I said, let me try to see if I can sign them,” he said.

“I gave Austin (Blackface) the contract, but nothing happened. After a while, 2Face called me and said he wanted to be on his own. I said, no problem.”

Deji Adeyanju tackles police as Speed Darlington spends 2 weeks in detention

Deji Adeyanju, the human rights lawyer, has accused the Nigerian police of unlawfully detaining rapper Speed Darlington.

In a post via X on Monday, the lawyer alleged that the police have refused to release the rapper or take him before a judge to face trial.

“The @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU have refused to release Speed Darlington or take him before a judge to face trial on the childish excuse that the last time they released him to me, he travelled to the US,” the post reads.

“This narrative is false because we told them he was going to US to return.”

Stan Alieke, Darlington’s legal representative, had earlier called out the police for “denying the rapper access to bail”.

Darlington was arrested on November 27 while performing at a show in Owerri, Imo state.

This is not the first time the rapper has been detained; he was arrested in October in Abuja. He was, however, released on bail after five days in police detention.

Adeyanju had alleged that Burna Boy, the Afrofusion star, was responsible for the rapper’s re-arrest.

Darlington had taunted Burna Boy over his affiliation with the embattled US rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ who is facing multiple charges for sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

He asked Burna Boy to explain how he won the Grammy award for his album ‘Twice As Tall’ — a project executive produced by Diddy. He claimed there was a sexual relationship between the duo.
