Former Vice President Namadi Sambo, who served under Goodluck Jonathan, has officially left the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sambo held the position of Vice President of Nigeria from May 19, 2010, to May 29, 2015. Prior to that, he served as the Governor of Kaduna State from 2007 to 2010.

His departure from the PDP to the APC marks him as the latest high-profile politician to make this shift in the lead-up to the 2027 general election
