Full Story Of How NURTW Chief, MC Oluomo, Was Stabbed At APC Rally In Lagos, By K1 Publicist
The Publicist of Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe, Kunle Rasheed has narrated the events that led to the stabbing of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Treasurer Musiliu Akinsanya (a.k.a MC Oluomo) during the rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Skypower Grounds, Ikeja Government Reservation Area (GRA) last Tuesday.
According to him, the crisis, which was purely union matter, started between NURTW State Auditor Adekunle Mustapha (Sego) and Idumota Chairman Azeez Lawal (a.k.a Kunle Poly) on K1’s stage.
He said: “Both of them (Mustapha and Lawal) had issues on K1’s stage and K1 waded into the matter. At a point, Mustapha left the stage. Not quite long. MC Oluomo came on stage and exchanged greetings with K1, NURTW State Chairman, Tajudeen Agbede. As at that time, the boys of Sego and Kunle Poly had started fighting on the ground.
So, it was not safe for MC Oluomo to leave the stage until one of Kunle Poly’s boys came on stage and threatening to kill MC Oluomo with a dagger. Agbede slapped him three times and chased him away. K1 also joined him to chase him away from the stage. He later returned to the stage and stabbed MC Oluomo and one Abija. That was how it happened.”
According to him, if not for K1, the crisis would have been bigger than that as he repeatedly talking to both warring parties to douse the tension.
“I was on the stage with them. I was there all through. K1 tried his best to resolve the crisis between the NURTW leaders over the State Chairmanship tussle even before that rally. People should stop accusing K1 of not doing enough to resolve their crisis,” he said.
Rasheed denied that the musician abuse Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, which some said led the supporters of the governor to start the crisis.
According to him, the track people were referring to has nothing to do with Ambode.
“If you check the new album he made for (Babajide) Sanwo-Owu, that track is there. He has even sang the track long before the crisis started. The track is all about APC and the party’s governorship candidate,” he said.
On why K1 continue singing while Ambode was making his speech, Rasheed described it as normal practice.
“If you are at the APC Convention in Abuja, the instruction was that as soon as someone is introduced, K1 will sing. Same thing happened at the Skypower Grounds, K1 started singing when Governor Ambode handed the party’s flag to Sanwo-Olu and that has nothing to do with the crisis. He didn’t abuse or insulted Governor Ambode as some are peddling,” he said.

Don’t raise your daughters to rely on people for money, Simi tells parents
Simi, the award-winning Nigerian singer, has emphasized the importance of financial independence for women.
In a recent video shared on her TikTok page, the songstress urged parents to raise their daughters to be financially self-sufficient, rather than relying on people for money.
“Please do not raise your daughters to think that when they grow up, all they have to do is rely on someone—that they don’t have to take care of themselves,” she said.
“When someone is spoiling you, it shouldn’t be because you cannot spoil yourself.
“As they are spoiling you, you too, you’re spoiling them. Let them know that you’re standing strong. There is security in knowing that you got yourself.
“A woman’s economic power is in protecting herself fending for herself and being able to confidently acknowledge that she is a complete person. You deserve good things; you need to occupy space.”
The 36-year-old singer acknowledged her privileged upbringing and encouraged others to provide opportunities for deserving women.
“I admit that I say this from a place of privilege. I grew up among people who believed in me, pushed me and encouraged me. I had chances that took me from here to here,” she said.
“But there are lots of women that have had to work with less. Less love, less faith, less kindness, less opportunity.
“And that’s where we as a society have to step in, and when you are in a position to give a deserving woman an opportunity, please give it to her.”
Simi urged men to support their partners’ financial growth. “If your female friend, girlfriend, or wife is thriving, don’t be intimidated by it. Support is sexy,” she said.
The singer, whose full name is Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, broke into the limelight in 2014 with the single ‘Tiff’.
Since then, she has released a plethora of hits including ‘Joromi’, ‘Soldier’, and ‘Smile For Me’.
Simi is married to Adekunle Gold, who also happens to be a singer. The union is blessed with a child.

“This is where the pranks start going too far; and you assholes think this is funny and it’s not funny. First of all, I’m the only coloured or Latin person in my neighbourhood completely and for people to pop into my house with cops and child protective services because someone did an anonymous call involving my children?”
Going further, she vowed to take action against both CPS and the person responsible for the call.
She explained, “I promise you this: I’m going to sue child protective services and I’m also going to sue the person who made this call and as soon as I wake up in the morning, I’m going to the bottom of this.”
“I’m going to hire the best private investigator in the whole country because y’all take joking and shit a little too far. Don’t ever play with my kids or my motherhood or my ex-husband’s fatherhood. We don’t play that shit, my kids live great and have never been touched or hit. No matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids,” she stressed.

We’ve received US toxicologist’s report on Mohbad, says Lagos AG
Lawal Pedro, the Lagos state attorney general, says the toxicology report and forensic analysis conducted in the United States on the late singer Mohbad, finally is out.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, died under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2023. He was buried the following day.
On September 21, 2023, his body was exhumed for an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), which revealed no significant findings that could be attributed to his death.
Mohbad’s family had rejected the results and demanded an independent investigation.
According to Monisola Odumosu, a member of the Aloba legal team, a two-part autopsy was being conducted. She said the first part had been completed and the second involved toxicology and histology tests.
Speaking at a recent press conference at the ministry of justice conference room in Ikeja, Pedro said the Lagos state pathologist is in custody of the autopsy report which was conducted at a medical facility in the United States.
The attorney general attributed the delay to a “prolonged investigation” into the case.
He also disclosed that the forensic examination would not have been done in the US if the Lagos DNA and Forensic Centre had not been burnt during the #EndSARS protest of October 2020.
Pedro revealed that the toxicology report is now with the Lagos state pathologist and the coroner magistrate.
“On the Mohbad case, yes, I agree there has been a delay, and the delay is caused by time taken for investigation,” he said.
“Forensic, analysis, toxicology, all these are part of the investigation. Full proof investigation that can lead at least to conviction in a case that is presented before the courts.”
