In a gesture of appreciation and support, a renowned record label executive, Moses Bliss, has surprised his artistes, Neeja, SON Music, and Godfrey Gad with new cars.

In a now-viral video on Saturday showing the presentation of the gifts to the mentees under his record label, Spotlite Nation, Bliss said, “A year ago, by the mercies of God, we were able to give out three cars to Ebuka songs, Doris Joseph and Clinton, and today is exactly one year later and by God’s grace, we are about to give out another three cars to encourage the music talents we have in Spotlite Nation.”

The video showed the upcoming artistes entering the house, and upon seeing the surprise, they expressed shock, joy, and gratitude while being presented with their new cars.

Bliss further hailed the artistes while presenting the gifts and prayed for them.

“Thank you, you guys have been amazing. This is just a little appreciation from us at Spotlight Nation to say thank you for the work you do for the kingdom of God,” he added.

Expressing gratitude via his Instagram handle on Saturday, one of the artistes, Neeja, wrote, “Thank you so much, sir, my boss and mentor Min. Moses Bliss, for this wonderful gift. God bless you, sir.”

Meanwhile, SON Music wrote via Instagram, “Sir Moses Bliss, may the Lord continue to honour you greatly. I feel so loved. Thank you, Spotlite Nation. Congratulations, SON MUSIC.”

Also, Godfrey Gad wrote on Instagram, “Somebody wake me. My mentor, Moses Bliss, just gifted me a car. Jesus, somebody should wake me up. Thank you, Jesus.”

The family of Junior Pope Odonwodo, the late Nollywood actor, has announced his funeral activities.

Pope died on April 10 in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.

He passed away alongside four other crew members in a boat accident.

Pope’s demise led to the suspension of Adanma Luke, the producer of the upcoming movie in which the late actor was supposed to feature.

On April 19, the Enugu state government promised the actor’s family that he would be given a “befitting burial”.

In an e-flier shared on social media, the family said a wake keep will be held in Pope’s honour on May 16, while the funeral will take place the following day.

The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Parish Ukehe, Enugu state.

Pope was married to Jennifer Awele. They have three children together.

He began his career in 2006 but gained fame after appearing in the 2007 film ‘Secret Adventures’, directed by Tchidi Chikere.

He also featured in several other movies including ‘Throne of Tears’, ‘Always Mine’, ‘Mad Sex’, ‘Blood Afair’, ‘Gbege and No Way Through’.

He also received several recognitions for his talent.

Doris Simeon, the Nollywood actress, has revealed why she relocated to the United States.

Simeon, who was popular in the Yoruba film industry in the early 2000s, spoke about her relocation in an interview with Kunle Afod, her colleague.

The actress revealed she left Nigeria in 2018 so she could be closer to her child.

“As many people know, my child and his father reside in America, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to relocate here,” she said.

“I left Nigeria in 2018 and I have not returned since then. I miss Nigeria a lot. The things I miss most especially are the roadside food vendors. Things like roasted yam, roasted corn, food that they hawk.

“I miss my family and friends and I also miss being on set, especially when I see actors and actresses sharing behind-the-scenes moments on their social media platforms.”

Doris was a newscaster after which she delved into acting in the early 2000s.
