Osinbajo presents discharge certificate to Transcorp Power Plc
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has handed over the discharge certificate of Transcorp Power Limited to Tony Elumelu, chairman of the company.
The handover ceremony took place on Monday before the commencement of the national council on privatisation (NPC) meeting.
Transcorp Power Limited is the core investor in the Ughelli power plant.
Osinbajo, presenting the certificate, said only private sector investment in the industry would guarantee steady power supply as well as meet the demand of the energy needs of Nigerians.
A discharge certificate is a written statement of satisfaction that a party has carried out or fulfilled its obligations credibly.
