Nigerian gay rights activist Micheal Ighodaro weds partner in US (Video)
Micheal Ighodaro, the US-based Nigerian gay rights activist, has tied the knot with Jirair Ratevosia, his Armenian-American partner.
In separate Instagram posts, the couple shared pictures of themselves showing off their wedding rings.
The wedding ceremony took place on Monday night in New York.
The event was graced by other Nigerian gay rights activists including Edafe Okporo and Jide Macaulay.
Ighodaro had earlier taken to his social media handles to express his excitement ahead of the wedding.
He said he was aware the marriage would “spark important discussions in my country” but “love conquers all”.
