Beverly Osu reveals why she dropped out of Babcock University

Nigerian actress and model Beverly Osu has revealed the reason why she dropped out of university.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Discourse With Ken, the actress opened up about her experience juggling her budding career as a video vixen, and school. She stated that her school was going well up until she started getting noticed at her university and criticised.

“In Babcock University everything was nice and education was going well but because I was on TV at the age of 16 as a video vixen, Nigerians did not understand the term video vixen then so they always used to criticise me and take pictures to school. I used to get in trouble in school every weekend, and I mean every weekend,” she said.

The model went on, revealing her reasons for leaving the institution. “I just felt that let me leave before it gets sour, you know how Babcock is, it’s very strict for lack of a better word. I left because I felt so comfortable doing what I was doing and I knew I could balance it, so I left,” she said.

On the topic of her parent’s reaction to her decision to drop out and chase her dreams, Osu stated that her mother was initially displeased but eventually came around.

“My mum didn’t believe that I left and she was like ‘After all the money I paid.’ We had struggled back and forth because of it but at a point, she just knew that ‘This girl is determined and Ada would do what Ada wants to do.’ I strived because I knew that modelling was it for me,” she concluded.

Nollywood actress, Queen Wokoma, has found herself on the wrong side of the court of public opinion over the sheer and short outfit she wore at Junior Pope’s funeral on May 17, 2024.

The actress took to Instagram to post the pictures taken at the funeral, with the caption, “Here to pay our last respect to our Friend and Colleague. #ripjnrpope 🕊️.”

She sported a short black dress, sheer stockings and black heels, and social media users swiftly called her out for dressing “inappropriately.”

“If y’all really cared so much about this guy like y’all claimed, you wouldn’t have even bothered about looking nice to the funeral. It’s a young guy whose life was cut short in a tragic way and look at how you even posed for the picture. U did well,” a follower said, expressing her disapproval.

Another person reprimanded her saying, “You did well by going but this ur dressing is really a party wear. You actually wore that to a burial???? Na club you dey go? Abi na Wetin you dey celebrate?”

My wife sent 20 of her friends to beat me up, Oritsefemi claims

Oritsefemi, the Nigerian singer, has revealed what transpired between him and Nabila Fash, his estranged wife.

The couple tied the knot in 2017. In 2021, their marriage faced a crisis over allegations of infidelity.

Fash later accused the singer of “constant cheating, verbal and emotional abuse”.

She claimed Oritsefemi has children out of wedlock with the excuse of wanting a boy child.

She also alleged that the singer physically assaulted her twice in their relationship.

The ‘Igbeyawo’ hitmaker, however, denied the allegations.

In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi shared his opinion on the conflict in their marriage.

The 39-year-old singer claimed Fash had “21 miscarriages” but still held him responsible for their inability to have children.

Oritsefemi also alleged that she sent about twenty of her friends to beat him up in his house.

“Nabila had 21 miscarriages and she still dey tell me Oritsefemi say I no fit impregnate am,” he said in pidgin English.

“My wife asked her friends to come and beat me up in my house. I said, ‘Look at me o; a whole me, lion na him women dey pursue’.

“Dem reach like 20. Dem beat me o and no be say na lie.”

In 2022, Fash disclosed that she filed for divorce from Oritsefemi.

“It became important for my sanity and mental health to take a decision that wasn’t easy. But he isn’t accepting,” she said.
