The legal representative of Justin Timberlake, on Wednesday, broke his silence following the singer’s arrest in the United States.

The ace singer was arrested by the police on Monday night at Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island, for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI).

Timberlake was arraigned on Tuesday and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated along with citations for failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign.

He was, however, released without bail on Tuesday after being formally charged. He is scheduled to appear virtually in court on July 26.

According to TMZ, Edward Burke Jr, Timberlake’s lawyer, vowed that he would “vigorously” defend him against the allegations.

Burke added that he wants to see what prosecutors have on his client.

“[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time,” he said.

“He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”

Timberlake is on a tour to promote his latest album, ‘Everything I Thought It Was’.

The ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ is scheduled to play host to Chicago’s United Center on June 21 and June 22, before heading to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 25 and June 26.
