Liam not my grandson, he doesn’t look like Mohbad, Joseph Aloba insists
Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, has reiterated his doubts about the paternity of his grandson, Liam.
Liam is the son of Mohbad and his wife, Omowunmi.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. On September 21, his body was exhumed by police for an autopsy.
Aloba has been vocal about his demands for justice, calling for the police to probe Omowunmi and for a DNA test to be conducted on Liam.
Aloba had refused to rebury Mohbad and emphasized the need to confirm Liam’s biological connection to him.
However, Omowunmi accused her father-in-law of avoiding a DNA test.
In a recent interview with Silverbird Television, Aloba reiterated his doubts about Liam’s paternity.
When asked if Liam looked like Mohbad, Aloba vehemently said “no”. “With what I’m seeing, he is not my grandson,” he said.
He also expressed frustration that Omowunmi and her family have not brought Liam to him, “despite knowing my house address”.
“As a father, they know where I am living. Yes (They do not come to me). I do not want to speak about it now because the case is still in court,” he said.
“As a father, they are supposed to bring the child to me. Now, I demand DNA, they are supposed to say ‘Daddy go and do it at your convenient time’.
“It has become public now. Let the court speak to that. With what I’m seeing, he is not my grandson.”
Aloba added that he would only accept Liam as his grandson if the “DNA test says otherwise”.
Aloba’s concerns come at about the same time when Abosede, Mohbad’s mum, clashed with Fabiyi over an accusation against the singer’s brother.
Fabiyi claimed Adura knew the cause of Mohbad’s death and requested money to share information with him.

His family announced his death on his Facebook page on Thursday evening — although the cause of death was not revealed.
“It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch,” the post reads.
“We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.
“It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.”
Born in Missoula, Montana in 1946, Lynch went to art college in the 1960s. He moved to Los Angeles in 1971 and studied film-making at the AFI Conservatory, where he began filming his first feature Eraserhead.
