I’ve never ended a relationship over infidelity, says Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, has revealed that she has never ended a romantic relationship over infidelity.
In an interview on The Receipts Podcast, Savage disclosed that every man she has been involved with has cheated on her.
The 44-year-old singer said she always forgives infidelity because it is not a deal breaker for her in a relationship. She however stressed that disrespect is what she cannot tolerate.
She added that drug abuse, emotional neglect and ghosting are some of the reasons why she left her previous relationships.
“I have been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time,” she said.
“Every man I have ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it. I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated. Cheating is not my hill.
“What hurts is the lies about it though. Maybe other people had known and then I kind of felt stupid about it, or they’ve known for a long time or if it’s close to home.
“The disrespect of it is why I could leave but the actual act of it? I’ve never left a man cause of it. I’ve left for so many other reasons like drug abuse or emotional abuse or being emotionally abused, being ghosted, stealing, and financial things. But that cheating thing, nah.
“I know you it’s bad that we’ve gotten to a point where cheating isn’t a deal-breaker. But I feel like we’ve always been here even back in the day, even going back to the Bible and history.”
