Charlie Kirk memorial statue vandalised outside Turning Point USA headquarters

A newly unveiled memorial statue of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been vandalised outside the headquarters of Turning Point USA in Phoenix, Arizona.

The eight-foot bronze statue was found covered with red paint on Sunday, just days after it was unveiled to mark the first anniversary of Kirk’s death.

Images of the damage showed red paint across parts of the statue, including its face, neck and body.

A nearby memorial display dedicated to Kirk was also defaced.

Turning Point USA condemned the vandalism and said it was reviewing surveillance footage while cooperating with law enforcement authorities in an effort to identify those responsible.

Phoenix police have opened an investigation into the incident.

The statue had been unveiled on September 10, 2026, one year after Kirk was fatally shot while attending an event at Utah Valley University in Utah.

Kirk, who was 31 when he died, was the founder of Turning Point USA and became a prominent figure in conservative politics in the United States.

He was particularly known for his political activism on college campuses and his support for Donald Trump.

No suspect had been publicly identified in connection with the vandalism at the time of reporting.

Turning Point USA said the damaged statue would be restored and the vandalised signs replaced as authorities investigate the incident.
