It’s official. A judge approved Caitlyn Jenner’s request to officially change her name and gender in court…The former Olympian previously known as Bruce Jenner is now legally Caitlyn Marie Jenner. According to TMZ, the reality star was not in attendance for the brief hearing, but was represented by her attorneys.
As previously reported, Jenner filed documents for a gender and name change in L.A. on Sept. 15. At the time, she asked that her medical history remain private because of threats she’s received since revealing that she’s transgender.
Jenner, 65, made the courageous announcement during a historic 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer back in April, and then debuted her new name on Vanity Fair’s July cover.

“The uncomfortableness of being me never leaves all day long. I’m not doing this to be interesting. I’m doing this to live,” Jenner told the mag at the time. “Who would want to be dealing with all these issues? I look at men and say, ‘Oh my God, would it not be so wonderful to be comfortable in your own skin, male or female, so when you wake up in the morning you get dressed and go to work and this identity issue is not even pres­ent?'”
