LASSA FEVER: 53 Year Old Woman Dies In Akwa Ibom State
God help us, we are really not use to all this health diseases. First it was Bird Flu, next was Ebola and now Lassa Fever, Kilo de? The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dominic Ukpong has announce that a 53 year woman has died of Lassa Fever
Dr. Ukpong announced the woman’s death after informing members of the press that a taskforce had just been created to tackle the issue of Lassa fever.
Thus far, according to Dr. Ukpong, the State had recorded three cases of Lassa fever. He noted that one of the cases fled the hospital while another was already in hospital care for HIV.
