MY NAME CAUSED ME A LOT OF TROUBLE; VIC MENSA
Ghanaian-American Hip-hop artiste, Victor Kwesi Mensa, whose stage name is “Vic Mensa” has disclosed that his surname caused him a lot of problems while growing up.
According to him, growing and playing with other mexican kids wasn’t too easy as the Spanish meaning of his surname is an insult and the Mexican kids didn’t find it funny. He also cleared the air about an accusation that he treats those who work with him badly.
Remark: Yoruba people in Nigeria believe in naming a child with respect to the home he comes from. Guess it’s high time we started naming kids with respect to their future.
