Nigerian Army Avert Another Suicide Attack
Gallant Troops stationed at Jidari Polo General Area on the outskirts of Maiduguri, Borno State yesterday foiled another suicide attack by intercepting a male suicide bomber. and diffusing the bomb
Acting Director of Army Public Relations Col. Sani Usman who confirmed the incident said:
“The vigilant troops, on sighting the intruder, laid in wait for him when he vehemently refused to stop despite several warnings and challenges. A marksman neutralised him.
“A combined team of the Army and Nigeria Police Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) safely detonated the IED-laden vest on the would-be suicide bomber,” Usman said.
