See the After-Effect of Zamfara State Windstorm
The incident which took place in late September in Zamfara State, was reported to the Operations Office of NEMA in Sokoto. An assessment team led by the agency’s head of operations, Mallam Suleiman Muhammad visited the affected areas to confirm the level of damages.
Communities affected by the disastrous windstorm includes; Sara da Kanka, Kuka Tara, Layin Daji, Lungun Bugaje, Gumawa, Kofar Kyarawa, Tankin Ruwa and Kan Wuri, all in Marradun LGA, Zamfara State.
2 people were injured, 91 houses and 546 persons were also affected in the after-effects of the disastrous windstorm that wrecked about 8 communities.
