Our favorite Upper East Side mom turns the big 48 on Nov. 6 so let’s all wish Kelly Rutherford the happiest of birthdays and find out what this lovely lady has been up to, shall we?
For starters, she says she’s in a good place regarding her never-ending, bank-draining, soul-crushing custody battle with her ex, Daniel Giersch, over their kids Helena, 7, and Hermes, 10.
“My kids are great; they are doing really well,” she said of the kids, who are living in Monaco and France with their dad as he was awarded full custody. “I see them all the time. I was there eight weeks this summer . . . It was amazing.”
Well obviously two months in the French Riviera is to die for! Fab that she and her ex are able to reach some kind of arrangement. Indeed, Kelly seemed to be spending time with her son just a week ago, according to her Insta:
Professionally, things are also looking up. She’s had a recurring role on the TV series Quantico, and it was just announced that she’s joining the cast of Jane The Virgin! She’ll make an appearance in the sixth episode of this season. Hopefully the role will be expanded so that she’s a more permanent fixture–flights to France don’t come cheap, darlings.
Personally though, things seem to be about the same for Kelly. She doesn’t appear to be dating anyone, that my minions can tell, unless you count her ongoing romance with inspirational memes. Her Instagram is like some kind of self-help book come to life…
Like, so many memes. But good for her for keeping a positive mental attitude. She wouldn’t be our favorite matriarch unless she was made of iron and Chanel No. 5, now would she?
