The Xiaomi mi max 2 is one of the most impressive phones under 100k. sporting a huge screen well over 6 inches and a full HD screen.

It comes with the xiaomi miui on top of android 7 and has an overall brilliant design with a nice metal finish.

it also comes with a finger print scanner and fast charging capabilities; charging from zero to hundred in around 2 hours. The battery is also super strong and although it sports a mid-range processor, with a 4GB processor, it can run 99 percent of apps from the play store without any noticeable lag.

the camera is also quite impressive. not anywhere close to a flagship like google pixel 2 XL, but it is quite impressive. It doesn’t perform so well under low light though.

we’ve also looked at several reviews on the internet and they are very favorable reviews with several users attesting to the performance of the Mi Max 2.

we’re of the opinion that at that price, it’s well worth the bargain.

This sleek device is a lot squeakier than the previous but it’s also quite the impressive bargain. The manufacturer, LEAGOO is kind of a newcomer in the smartphone camera and it looks like they’re trying to capture a sizable market share with this product. Well, they haven’t failed so far, managing to ship over 10 000 from a single seller on a popular online mall.

So far, the reviews we’ve looked at seem to be satisfied with this phone and we’re also impressed with the specs.

the native memory is 64GB but is expandable to 256GB for those users who want more

It comes with a finger print scanner, and a dual 13MP + 5MP camera as well as a 13MP camera on the front. It also sports Android 7 on a FULL HD screen. with a 5.5″ screen, you can expect a very crisp visual experience with over 400 ppi pixel density.

It is also 4G enabled so you can browse the internet at much faster speeds.

At the quoted price, it’s an impressive smartphone and is a recommended choice for people on a lower mid-range budget.

interestingly, it’s around the same price as the infinix hot 6 pro which has much lower specs . . . but potentially higher quality hardware, if you’re planning to change your phone within a year, this is an obvious choice.

Xiaomi is known for their impressive spec list for such low prices and with this phone they’ve kept the reputation alive. The Xiaomi redmi note 5 plus is an impressive phone and so far, we’ve seen a lot of positive reviews on it.

Equipped with a snapdragon 625 and 4GB RAM you can rest assured that this phone will deliver. The internal storage is 64GB and is expandable to 128GB although you’ll have to use the SIM 2 slot for the memory card.

It has the android 7.1 running the miui 9.5 which looks beautiful, by the way. It has a 6 inch screen but don’t worry, with the 2160 x 1080 full HD resolution, you’re getting a stunning 403ppi pixel density.

The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back, right under the 12MP camera which, we admit, isn’t all that impressive but is still quite competitive. the screen has rounded corners which personally I didn’t like but the others did so maybe I’m just being a bit old school.

naturally, it’s 4G enabled so you can browse the internet with fast speeds.

4. Motorola Moto Z2 Play

The motorola Z2 isn’t as impressive as some other phones on this list, but it’s a cool phone as well.

There is a front mounted finger print scanner, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

the battery is not much to write home about; especially at that price. the pixel density also doesn’t match up with the much cheaper redmi note 5.

the main selling point of this phone is the 626 snapdragon processor. it’s much faster than the 625 coupled with the 4GB RAM, makes for quite the powerful machine.

It also features a nice finishing and comes with super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode screen. which is known as super AMOLED for short and is just a fancy word for the latest screen technology in the smartphone world today.

You typically expect Super AMOLED in flagship phones as it offers brillant color representation, luminance, and also saves battery on dark themes. That this phone uses one is quite noteworthy.

5. Lenovo P2

This one’s a bit old but far from outdated. It was released in 2016 and still continues to wow with it’s set of impressive specifications two years later.

Now, it comes out of the box with an android marshmallow which is really cool but it’s also upgrade-able to android 7.0.

The battery is almost as much as that of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and that will cost you an extra 8k.

it’s got a super AMOLED screen just like the motorola Z2 Play, 4G LTE, finger print scanner and the memory card slot is expandable up to 256GB. which is kind of a relief because the native memory is just 32GB.

with a screen size of 5.5 inches, you can be assured of sharp and brilliant images at that resolution and of course, with the RAM and Processor combination, you can also be assured of a hitch free operation for more than 99 percent of all the apps in the play store.

6. Huawei Nova

The pixel density of this phone is striking. with a FHD screen that’s just 5 inches wide lends itself to some pretty astonishing clarity.

The battery isn’t as awesome as some of the other phones on this list; especially at that price, but we were pretty satisfied with the overall quality of the phone.

with a 4GB RAM and internal memory of 64GB, We’re also satisfied. You can bump it up to 256GB if you like.

It does ship with the android marshmallow; 6.0 as it’s not the newest of phone models but it is upgrade-able to 7.0.
