The Gabon international has SIGNED a new contract with the Gunners, talkSPORT has been told.

Aubameyang’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season, and tying him to an extension has been Mikel Arteta’s priority since the end of last season.

According to the Daily Mail, the 31-year-old’s new contract will see him earn an extra £70,000-a-week compared to his previous £180,000 weekly salary.

It comes just a week after the Gunners signed 32-year-old Willian on a three-year deal worth £220,000-a-week.

Since joining Arsenal from Dortmund in January 2018, Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang has scored 54 goals in 85 Premier League games. He is now 31 years old, but Arsenal have just signed 32-year-old Willian on a three-year deal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal youngster Matt Smith has joined newly-promoted League One side Swindon Town on loan for next season.

The club said: “We wish Matt the best of luck for next season at Swindon and look forward to supporting him through his continued development.”
