Cristiano Ronaldo wanted Juventus to beat former club Manchester United to the signing of Raul Jimenez
In case you missed it, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wanted Juventus to beat former club Manchester United to the signing of Raul Jimenez this summer.
Reports in Italy claim Ronaldo wants Wolves’ Mexican star as his new striker partner next season, with the Premier League side likely to cash-in after they failed to qualify for Europe.
Jimenez scored 27 goals in all competitions this this season and is rumoured to be valued at as much as £90m by Wanderers.
The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Ronaldo is keen to play alongside him in the black and white on Juve next season, and Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Portuguese superstar has told the club to sign him.
The report comes after talkSPORT Jason Cundy back Jimenez to star at Old Trafford, saying the Mexican is ‘in the same bracket as Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero’.
