NBBF dedicates D’Tigers wins over US and Argentina to Sound Sultan
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has dedicated D’Tigers’ victories over Team USA and Argentina to the memories of Sound Sultan.
The musician, an avid basketball fan, breathed his last in the early hours of Sunday while the Nigerian basketball team was registering a historic 90-87 victory over Team US in an Olympic tune-up game.
The prolific songwriter gave up after a 4-year battle with angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma.
Tributes have been pouring in for the late ‘Jangbajantis’ crooner with the federation adding its voice to the growing homages.
This morning, after D’Tigers’ comfortable 23-point victory over Argentina, the fourth-best team in the world, NBBF took to its verified Twitter page to dedicate the two massive victories to the late singer.
