Adamawa state government orders indefinite shutdown of 30 boarding schools over insecurity

The Adamawa state government has ordered the closure of 30 boarding junior secondary schools due to insecurity.

Wilbina Jackson, the state’s commissioner of education and human capital development, broke the news in a statement seen by newsmen yesterday.

She said the order will see the shutdown of 30 out of 34 junior schools in the state, taking effect from September 6.

In her statement, Jackson added that all the 30 government junior secondary schools would now be day schools.
