R&B singer Jacquees arrested in Florida on DUI, officer battery charges
American R&B singer Jacquees has been arrested in Florida on allegations including driving under the influence and battery on a law-enforcement officer.
The singer, whose real name is Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, was taken into custody in Hollywood, Florida, on Sunday, September 27.
Broward County booking information reviewed by US media showed that the 32-year-old was booked into the county’s Main Jail.
Reports said the booking involved three charges, including DUI, battery on an officer and resisting arrest.
However, authorities had not publicly provided a detailed account of what allegedly happened before Jacquees was taken into custody.
Booking records reportedly displayed a $0 bond amount for the charges and listed the bond type as “HG.”
That does not by itself establish that Jacquees had been permanently denied bond, as a judge could still need to make a formal determination.
Jacquees is known for R&B songs including B.E.D. and You and has worked with several prominent artists during his career.
The latest allegations remain pending, and an arrest does not amount to a finding of guilt.
