Jason Derulo splits from girlfriend months after welcoming son
Jason Derulo, the American singer, and Jena Frumes, his girlfriend, have parted ways — four months after they welcomed their first child.
The 31-year-old singer broke the news on his Twitter page in the late hours of Thursday.
In the post, Derulo said they both decided to break up because they feel it will allow them to “be the best versions of ourselves.”
He, however, appealed to his fans and the public to accord them the “deserved privacy at this emotional time of their lives.”
“Jena and I have decided to part ways,” he wrote on Twitter.
“She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.
“Pls respect our privacy at this time.”
The development comes barely a day after the pair, who shared the same birthdate, marked the occasion together in Colorado.
