Lagos assembly passes anti-open grazing and VAT bills
The Lagos house of assembly today passed the bill on the prohibition of open grazing in the state.
The assembly also passed the bill on value added tax (VAT) during the plenary session.
The two bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers.
Subsequently, Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker, directed Olalekan Onafeko, the acting clerk, to transmit copies of the bills to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor, for assent.
The speaker commended his colleagues for their passion to ensure the advancement of the state.
“I thank you all for this historic exercise,” Obasa said.
