Anyim Pius ‘in EFCC custody’ over alleged N780m fraud
Anyim Pium Anyim, a former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), is reportedly in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to PUNCH, Anyim arrived the EFCC headquarters in Abuja yesterday afternoon.
While there isn’t yet official confirmation on what the EFCC is questioning him about, a source at the commission reportedly said the former senate president is allegedly linked to a case involving Stella Oduah, former minister of aviation.
“Anyim’s invitation and interrogation is in connection with a case of money laundering involving a former aviation minister and serving senator, senator Stella Oduah,” the source is quoted as saying.
