Social media reacts as Wizkid’s ‘Dance’ disappears from Apple Music Top 100
Today, fans woke up to find Wizkid’s latest single ‘Dance’ to have been displayed from the top 100 after occupying the top spot.
The massive deduction has led to speculations of stream deduction and drinking from the chart which are the most common heavy penalties Apple Music applies on streaming manipulation.
‘Kese’, released 15, November 2024, has the second lead single on Wizkid’s upcoming album ‘Morayo’, has enjoyed immediate success on streaming platforms reaching NO. 1 on the Apple Music Nigeria Top 100 just hours after its release.
Its disappearance from Apple Music Nigeria Top 100, has created a massive buzz online with some considering it a penalty for streaming manipulation while others think it might be a glitch from Apple Music.
By precedence, such deductions are penalties with Apple Music taking stronger actions in cracking down on streaming manipulations.
It’s left to be seen if the song would rebound back to its previous chart-topping position as this would give credence to suspicion of a glitch or perhaps, Apple Music has dropped the hammer of the biggest act yet in their effort to curb stream farming.

Iyabo Ojo addresses claim of involvement in Mohbad’s death
Iyabo Ojo, the Nollywood actress, has addressed claims linking her to the death of late singer Mohbad.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023. He was buried the following day. On September 21, the body of the music star was exhumed by the police for autopsy.
The circumstances surrounding his death have continued to stir up controversies.
In a recent episode of the ‘Glass House’ podcast with comedian AY Makun, Iyabo stated that some people insinuated she was involved in Mohbad’s death.
The 46-year-old actress also expressed frustration with the allegations, questioning why she would fight for Mohbad’s autopsy if she had something to hide.
Iyabo clarified that she wasn’t close to Mohbad, having met him only once at a music festival.
She described him as a “cool boy” who seemed to be going through his own struggles.
“They were even insinuating that maybe I killed Mohbad. I was not around when Mohbad died. I was not close to him. I did not really know him that much. My encounter with him was during One Africa music fest,” she said.
“For the few days that we were together, I just knew that he was a cool boy, had his own thing he was going through and doing his music. If I killed him, then why was I fighting for his body to be exhumed for autopsy? There was a time they said I was paid. They also said I was looking for a political position.”
