Despite the suspension of the sit-at-home order in the south-east by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), residents of Awka, capital of Anambra state, are still in fear.

The proscribed group had threatened to lock down the region from November 5 to protest the detention of Nnamdi Kanu, its leader.

Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesperson, in a statement yesterday, said the sit-at-home order has been cancelled to allow people in Anambra to participate in the governorship election tomorrow.

The election is scheduled for tomorrow.

When Newsmen visited some areas of the state today, there was minimal movement of vehicles and people, while most shops were shut.

Fuel stations were also not opened for business.
