BREAKING: Helicopter carrying Indian Chief of Army Staff, Bipin Rawat and his wife crashes (Photos)
An Army chopper carrying Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, his wife and seven others has crashed.
The chopper crashed in Tamil Nadu today.
General Rawat’s staff and family members were also among the nine people on board, apart from the crew.
“An IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter, with CDS Gen Bipin Rawat on board, met with an accident today near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident,” the Indian Air Force tweeted.
