Six ways to have fun with your partner this festive season

Published

on

Dedicating time is the best way to make your loved ones feel special during this festive season.

You really want to have fun with your partner but don’t have enough money for that expensive date or trip?

Worry no more, as one of these ideas could be an alternative to have fun with your partner at little or no cost;

  • Paint together

You both can set up a comfortable spot to bring out your inner artistry. You can decide on what to draw and paint. This will only cost two drawing pads and coloured pens. You and your partner can also take that time to engage in deep conversation which could also give rise to a form of intense closeness between you and your partner.

  • Mini picnic

Eating home made food is also a form of fun activities. You really don’t need to spend a lot of money going to that fancy restaurant, rather plan an indoor or outdoor picnic together where you can have great conversations together. The picnic can be done on a balcony, park, garden at a beach or any location of your choice, you could even bring games along to play after enjoying the delicious meal.

  • Movie night

Make the best use of Netflix this festive season. Pick a movie you both have been dying to watch, have a movie marathon. You can also spice up the movie night by decorating the location to a mini cinema, don’t forget to grab a popcorn too.

  • Mini book club

Having a mini book club as lovers is also a cool way to have fun. Pick a book that has been on your bucket list, set a reading time for each other, then discuss, analyse, critic and have deep conversations about the book you just read. In love, little things matter, thus little thing can actually keep your love alive even when you don’t have the money for that perfect date.

  • Spa night

Being each other’s massager isn’t a bad idea to enjoy each other’s company this season. The expenses will only be on purchasing candles, massage oils, essential oils which will help make a perfect spa night.

  • Go on local trip

Search for local attractions you haven’t explored yet. Fortunately, Nigeria has different tourist attractions that aren’t expensive to visit — ranging from the museums to beaches, conservation centers and many more. Research about a couple of places you will like to visit and plan a trip together.

Spending quality time with your partner doesn’t need to cost that much.

After all, love doesn’t cost anything.

The Hollywood stars Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are engaged.

The couple announced their engagement on Sunday at the 2024 Ebony Power 100 List event held at Nya Studios in Los Angeles.

Meagan showed off her engagement ring while the lovebirds posed for loved-up photos on the red carpet.

They also revealed why they chose the particular event to go public with their engagement.

“Ebony Power 100 is the event that we met at in the bathrooms, in the unisex bathroom,” Meagan said.

Good was married to DeVon Franklin, the US pastor and producer, from 2012 to 2021. She and Majors were first linked romantically in May 2023.

Earlier this year, Good opened up about how friends advised her about the scrutiny she could face by being with him. She also discussed how she has stood by him through his challenges.

Majors was found guilty of assault in the third degree and harassment in December 2023, following a March 2023 arrest in New York.

He was arrested after allegedly assaulting Grace Jabbari, his ex-girlfriend.

In April 2024, Majors was sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling, which includes a 52-week, in-person program in Los Angeles. He was also required to continue mental health therapy and provide regular updates on his progress.

Also, the court issued a permanent protective order between Majors and Jabbari, with potential jail time for any violations of his sentencing terms.

May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has shared her thoughts on marriage and family.

In an interview with AY Comedian on his podcast Glasshouse with AY, May opened up about her personal views on relationships, divorce, and the public scrutiny she has faced since her husband’s controversial marriage to actress Judy Austin.

May and Yul have been at the center of media attention since April 2022, when Yul revealed Judy Austin as his second wife and announced their first child together.

Despite the controversy surrounding her marriage, May took the opportunity to clarify her stance on relationships. “Some men see me like I am misleading their wives.I love family, I love marriage. I know in today’s world, there is this conception about marriage that is totally different. Ideally, marriage is the basis for family. Without family, there will be no you or me. That’s how it used to be.”

May strongly asserted that she does not advocate for divorce. “I am not in any way advocating divorce or separation,” she said. “Let me categorically state here that I am not an advocate of divorce.”
