Easter: Nigeria Needs Healing and Resurrection – Daniel
“The Unity of Nigeria is undergoing a testy moment, the fault lines of our delicate religious, cultural and ethnic divisions are on trial and we need a whole lot of spiritual cleansing, healing and Resurrection.
“Easter celebration is an entire story of Salvation told in three days; starting with the arrest, trials, tribulations, persecution and death of Jesus Christ, ending on a happy note with His Resurrection.
“If we can mirror our Nation’s experience in the tribulations and trials of Jesus Christ, then we should also be able to share in the hope of healing, hope of resurrection and eventually a hope of salvation.
“We should not see the Easter as a celebration, but a period of sober reflection on how we can live together as a people with common purpose and aspirations. The lines of ethnicity and religions are artificial boundaries and barriers which should not be promoted to deny our people of the good and happy lives that they earnestly deserves.
