GWR: UNICAL student begins 188-hour write-a-thon
Daniel Ehis Aiguokhian, a student at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), has begun his quest to write for 188 hours without interruption.
The student’s attempt is to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest hours of writing fiction and non-fiction stories by an individual.
In June, Aiguohkian announced his intention to commence on the daunting feat.
He started his write-a-thon challenge on October 1 and is expected to end on October 8.
During the 7-day marathon writing session, Aiguokhian will write and produce two books each day, one on fiction and the other on non-fiction.
As of the time of this report, the student has written for more than 40 hours.
Aiguokhian’s write-a-thon attempt adds to the list of world records several Nigerians have aimed to break since the dawn of 2023.
