Rapper Canserbero’s ex-manager, Natalia Améstica admits to killing him in 2015

Natalia Améstica, the former manager of Tyrone González, the Venezuelan rapper fondly called Canserbero, has confessed to killing him.

In January 2015, Canserbero and Carlos Molnar, his friend and producer, were found dead near the Camino Real Building, in Maracay city, Venezuela.

The deaths of the two friends were initially documented as murder-suicide cases.

It was earlier reported that Canserbero had killed his friend in a knife fight before throwing himself from a 10th-floor window.

But on Tuesday, Tarek William Saab, the Venezuelan attorney general, disclosed that there were new revelations into the case.

Saab also released video statements via X wherein Natalia admitted that she carried out both murders and staged the suicide with the help of her brother Guillermo Améstica.

In the confessional video, Natalia told authorities she was furious after learning Canserbero planned to cheat her out of payment for a tour to Chile she had organised, and intended to sack her.

“This hurt me a lot and left me with a lot of internal pain,” she said.

Natalia said a “chance arose” when the artistes visited her home in the city of Maracay on January 19, 2015.

She said she laced their tea with a powerful tranquilizer before stabbing both Canserbero and Molnar, who was her ex-lover, repeatedly.

Canserbero’s ex-manager added that she thereafter called her brother to help her clean up the murder scene.

She said her brother Guillermo also involved Sebin officers to alter the crime scene.

Corroborating Natalia’s account, Guillermo said: “We lifted the body between the two of us and threw it”.

He also claimed that forensic detectives quickly made the crime scene appear to be “manipulated”.

“They told me: ‘If you want us to collaborate, it’ll cost you $10,000 (£7,850),’” he added.

Saab assured that the suspects “are going to pay for these serious crimes”.

He added that arrest warrants had been issued for the Sebin officers who were at the scene, including a forensic pathologist and two investigators indicted in the case.

Ali Baba says Northern elites are responsible for the way things are in Nigeria

Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has raised concerns about the serious issues facing Nigeria, especially in the northern region.

In an Instagram post yetserday, he shared a video showing many schoolchildren in the North who were out of school and begging on the streets, calling for urgent action.

Ali Baba recalled discussions he had over five years ago with friends from top universities. They created a WhatsApp group to brainstorm solutions for Nigeria’s problems. He noticed that some members from the North were sensitive when it came to discussing the high number of out-of-school children.

He wrote in part, “Many, who believed, like me, that the failure of the government to properly educate the young children from birth to age 10 was going to be a time bomb waiting to explode. We agreed it was happening in the south, too, but the rate and number of out-of-school children were becoming alarming, especially in the northern parts of Nigeria.”

“This woman from the North protested about the discussions. Vehemently. Then, at another time, time the matter on the front burner was grazing. Where my position was, the rearing and trading in livestock was a personal business…” he added.

He noted that the discussions took a different turn after a video of children begging for food was sent to the group.

“Then, a video surfaced, showing hundreds of children begging for food. Not in an IDP camp oooo. Inside Kano. As soon as we started discussing the issue, a certain Northern lady pounced on me as one who always has the negative narrative,” the comic continued.

Ali Baba highlighted the responsibility of Nigeria’s elite to address the educational and social issues facing the country, especially in the North.

“I kuku left the group. Now, only the Northern people are complaining about what I complained about. But I don’t feel vindicated, I just realised that some of the Northern elites are responsible for the way things are. The way I see it, the number of kids as seen I the posted video is mind-boggling. And it’s not 10 years yet, like I warned. Dem go feel it!” he concluded.
