Burna Boy announces surprise album — to be released at midnight
Burna Boy, the award-winning Nigerian singer, has surprised fans with the announcement of the release date for his eighth studio album.
The singer took to his X page to reveal that he would be dropping his new album at midnight on July 30.
“Album dropping by 12am,” he wrote.
The announcement came as a surprise to fans. This was due to the fact that the ‘African Giant’ hitmaker did not the tease the body of work as expected.
Many fans also speculated that the 33-year-old singer might be pulling a prank.
The shocking announcement followed after Burna Boy’s recent celebration of the fifth anniversary of his Grammy-nominated 2019 album ‘African Giant’ which he marked with a concert at the Koko Camden.
