I am not in competition with you – Peter Psquare calls out his twin in open letter

Following their recent split, Peter Okoye of the P-Square pop group has called out his twin brother Rudeboy, in an open letter posted to social media.

Taking to Instagram on August 12, 2024, Peter voiced his frustrations and concerns following a recent series of public statements by his brother, Paul, which he stressed have undermined their joint legacy and his individual contributions to the group.

He wrote in part, “An open letter to my dear brother Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy. Just like I have told you several times, I am not in competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my effort to the group that we both created and built together speaks volumes. In your recent interviews you claim that you wrote and sang 99% of all P Square songs…”

The singer’s letter also highlighted the personal toll of the public feud, including what he describes as ongoing disrespect towards his family, his wife, and himself.

“I often find myself wondering what do you truly gain by constantly disrespecting and belittling me all the time. You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me. Now, if you like, you have taken it further by trying so hard to turn the fans against me by making them believe that I’m jealous of you,” he wrote.

In the detailed letter, Peter emphasised his desire to move forward peacefully and focus on his music, despite the conflict between them.

The singer added, “I hope you are happy now. I genuinely wish you nothing but the best bro! As for those who believe the lies and false narratives and come to my page to drop negative comments, I understand because you have been fed the wrong narrative for a long time. Please allow me to focus and do my music in peace.”

Peter concluded his letter with a promise to address ongoing legal issues involving the EFCC and the group’s former manager and elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Cynthia Morgan has revealed why she will never reach out to Burna Boy amid the controversy surrounding his rumoured past relationship with Uju Stella.

In a recent post on her Instagram story, Morgan claimed people advised her to contact Burna Boy regarding Stella’s interview.

In the interview, Stella alleged that she and Burna Boy dated for three years and she got pregnant for him.

In the post, Morgan said she can’t reach out to Burna Boy because he is still upset that she didn’t believe him when Stella made the accusations in 2016.

The songstress also took a shot at men, arguing that they tend to lie and get angry when others don’t believe them.

“For those sending me messages to reach out to Burna Boy, I won’t. If it was me I would reach out but he is probably still mad that I didn’t believe he didn’t impregnate Uju Stella in 2016,” she wrote.

“That’s what most men do. They lie and get mad when you don’t believe them. Something he finally admitted to online 8 years later. You all leave me alone. All the best Damini.”

Morgan and Burna Boy have collaborated on music, with their 2016 song ‘Acting Bad’ a notable example.

There were also rumours of a romantic relationship between the two singers in 2015, although the pair did not confirm it.
