Ireti is a first-class mother, says ex-husband Patrick Doyle
Patrick Doyle, the ace actor, has described Ireti, his ex-wife, as a “first-class mother”.
In an interview with Olumide Iyanda, QEDNG’s publisher, Patrick, 63, said he has no ill feelings towards Ireti despite their divorce.
He also lauded her as an “excellent mother” who takes great care of their children.
“Ireti is a first-class mother and provider for her children. She’s taking care of my daughter. How can I wish her ill? As far as mothers go, they don’t come any better. She provides 360 mothering care,” he said.
The actor also addressed a 2018 Facebook post that appeared to be an apology to Ireti, explaining that it was an effort to ease tensions and take responsibility for the issues in their marriage.
“It is my duty as a man to say you don’t look happy. Whatever happens, the responsibility for the stability of the home is that of the head of the home. So that was a bid to fulfil my responsibility to ease whatever the tensions were at the time,” he added.
Patrick and Ireti, 57, married in 2004, but the talented actress confirmed their divorce in January 2023.
The couple has five children together.
Despite their separation, they have continued to collaborate professionally, including in the 2023 thriller ‘The Black Book’.
In 2022, Patrick tied the knot with Olufunmilayo, his new wife. However, he made their union public in March 2023.
