‘You’re stepping on toes’ — Jaywon hits Odumodublvk for mocking him
Jaywon, the Nigerian singer, has fired back at Odumodublvck after the rapper mocked him on social media.
On Sunday, Odumodublvck shared comparative pictures on his X account.
The images showed the songstress Ayra Starr posing separately with Jaywon and American rapper Future.
“This life ehn,” Odumodublvck captioned the post, implying preferential treatment and sparking ridicule.
Lol, you’re already dragging your senior, who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes. https://t.co/8Xo5QWe9DP

Jaywon swiftly responded, questioning Odumodublvck’s accomplishments.
“Lol, you’re already dragging your senior? Who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes,” he wrote.
The exchange highlights the tension between the two artistes, with Jaywon asserting his seniority and Odumodublvck seemingly trying to provoke him.
In February, Jaywon had slammed Odumodublvk and Burna Boy for saying “no one paved the way” for them in the music industry.
He added that despite his love for the ‘Declan Rice’ hitmaker, his “music is not all that”.
“I see people like Odumodu, I love Odumodu even though I know his music is not all that but I love the energy. I have watched Odumodu for a while before he even blew up, it was one of my young boy that was distributing his music,” he had said.
Disgruntled by Jaywon’s remark, Odumodublvck lambasted the singer while writing off his music.
He argued that despite his colleague’s years in the music industry, he has “nothing to show for it”.

Darkoo calls out Peter Okoye for sabotaging her music video
Darkoo, the Nigerian-British rapper, has accused Peter ‘Mr P’ Okoye of sabotaging her newly released song ‘Focus on Me’.
In a series of tweets on X, Darkoo said she had obtained the necessary clearance from Psquare for the sample used in her song.
The rapper said Psquare was entitled to 50% of the song’s earnings. She, however, alleged that Peter demanded to be featured on the track — a request she initially declined but considered for a possible remix.
Darkoo claimed Mr P thereafter facilitated the copyright infringement tagged on the music video on YouTube after she refused to feature him in the song.
“I wasn’t going to say anything, but Peter of P-square took down my music video for six days in an attempt to completely sabotage the song. (Fortunately, the video is back up now.)
Let me be clear: I had all the necessary clearance for the sample. This is not my first rodeo using a sample, as you know, and I did everything by the book,” the tweet reads.
“To put things into perspective, they are receiving 50%… rightfully so. Yet, Mr. Peter wanted to be featured on the song, even creating his own new verse for it. He told me not to speak to or clear with his brothers Jude and Paul (who, by the way, have been incredibly helpful in resolving issues). He claimed they would bring ‘unnecessary problems’ for me.
“But as soon as the song dropped, Mr. Peter completely switched on me. He started causing problems because he wanted to be featured on the track. Even though I wanted him to be on the remix, I guess that wasn’t enough. Instead, he chose to act out of anger, manipulate the situation, and try to sabotage the song… simply because I didn’t bow to his demands….
“Taking my video down wasn’t about copyright or contracts…. It was because he didn’t get what he wanted (to be featured), & I quote saying to my team that I “disrespected him” that’s why he’s taking down the video.”
The rapper expressed her disappointment and heartbreak over “Mr. P’s actions”, stating that she had grown up admiring him and his music.
“His actions have impacted me deeply, hurting my fans, ruining my hard work, and all the time and money spent. It’s heartbreaking because I grew up admiring him, and to see someone I once looked up to try to hurt me and block my success actively is incredibly painful,” she said.
“For the record: I had the clearance, the contracts, and the paperwork from “Psquare”. I went above and beyond to ensure their rights were respected and handled correctly with the right people. Ensuring that all contributors were coverd. This isn’t how our OGs are supposed to be moving. It’s sad and disappointing.”
Darkoo also revealed that the music video is now back online after being taken down for six days. She urged her fans to support her by watching and sharing the video.

‘He’s playing a character’, Actress Bolaji Ogunmola defends Etim Effiong over intimate scene
Nollywood actress and producer, Bolaji Ogunmola, has spoken out in defense of her co-star, Daniel Etim-Effiong, following backlash over a scene in the promotional video for their new movie, Summer Rain.
The video, which has been making rounds online, features the duo in an intimate moment as part of their characters’ romantic storyline.
While some fans praised the chemistry, others criticised Daniel for the passionate kiss, questioning how it aligns with his status as a married man.
In a post shared on her X account on Friday, Ogunmola addressed the criticism, stressing that the scene was entirely professional and part of their job as actors.
She explained, “Promotional shoot/content is part of an actor’s contractual obligations. Were there cameras there? Yes. Tons of people there? Yes. Was he there as a husband? No. He’s an actor playing a character called Adimchi, who’s ridiculously in love with Murewa. Was he professional? Yes!”
The incident also reignited discussions about Daniel’s wife, Toyosi Etim-Effiong, and her perspective on her husband’s work.
Speaking on a podcast in December, Toyosi opened up about navigating moments of jealousy in their marriage.
