Enugu will pay N80,000 as minimum wage, says Peter Mbah
Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu, has approved N80,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the state.
In a statement on his X page on Thursday, the governor said the new minimum wage takes effect from October.
“I have just approved a minimum wage of N80,000 for Enugu workers, effective October 2024,” the post reads.
“We appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of the state’s workforce and will continue to prioritise their welfare in line with our campaign promises. Tomorrow is here.”
