Keke Palmer speaks on unhealthy relationship with ex Darius Jackson
Keke Palmer, the US actress, has opened up about her past relationship with Darius Jackson in her new memoir ‘Master of Me’.
The book, slated for release on November 19, offers an intimate look into Palmer’s life. It follows her debut book ‘I Don’t Belong to You’, which was released in 2017.
In excerpts shared with People Magazine, Palmer described her time with Jackson as one of “the hardest experiences I have faced”.
The strain, she said, was amplified by the pressures of new parenthood.
“Having a baby… not just with my romantic relationships, but with family and friends, it’s always become a burden. Too many voices get in. It can make everybody else not trust you. It’s hard to explain,” she wrote.
The actress described her connection with Jackson as “deeply spiritual”.
She also explained how they both struggled with loneliness and created a bond that ultimately led to their decision to have a son.
“It was like, not only is this the person, but this is the time. It felt very spiritual for Darius and I,” she said.
“We had separate lonelinesses, and we created a space for us to exist in that loneliness together. And then we wanted to have a son. Leo was very planned”.
Palmer said as the relationship progressed, “it got so out of control”. She added that she now feels a sense of peace and would never speak negatively about her ex for their son’s sake.
“I feel very at ease now knowing things are under control,” she added.
“I didn’t want my son to think his father is a monster, because I don’t.”
The couple’s relationship, which went public in 2021, became the subject of scrutiny in July 2023 when Jackson publicly criticised Palmer’s outfit at a concert by singer Usher.
Shortly after, the actress filed for a restraining order against Jackson, citing allegations of domestic violence and seeking sole custody of their son.

Foluke Daramola’s husband speaks on fathering child with another woman
Kayode Salako, the husband of Foluke Daramola, the actress, has opened up about the paternity of his child with another woman.
Kayode fathers a child named Murewa with Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako.
In a recent Facebook post, Salako clarified that Foluke was fully aware and supportive of his decision to have a child with Oluwafunke.
He said they have been married for over 13 years but have no biological children together. He also said his other children, now grown, live with their mother abroad.
“It took me 3 years of begging Foluke Daramola-Salako, my wife, to allow me have at least one, or two children here in Nigeria, for the security of my old age, since I am not impotent,” the post reads in part.
“I am already above 50, and I don’t want to be 70 years, and still continue to live alone, without children around me.
“I have been married and living with her for over 13 years now, but God has not given us our own love child yet. She saw reason with me after a while, and said you can go ahead.”
Salako also disclosed that the actress treats Murewa like her own son and maintains a cordial relationship with the boy’s mother while referring to them as “bosom sisters”.
“Murewa Omowonuola (Ayinde) Salako is the product of that understanding,” he added.
“Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako from Ogbomosho, is that woman Nigerian bloggers have been talking about since last year on social media, and Oluwamurewa is the boy she has had for us.
“Foluke treats him like her son. Foluke and Funke are doing well together as buxom sisters.”

Tolani Baj reveals why Lagos girls prefer married men to single guys
Former BBNaija housemate and popular disc jockey Tolani Baj opened a can of worms on the topic of marriage, side chicks, and married men during an episode of the podcast “Just Amazingly.”
The reality TV star opined that in marriage, it is the women who are off the market, while the men remain very much available, becoming even more attractive and irresistible to single women.
In her words: “When a man and a woman come together and are joined in a holy union, it is the woman who is truly off the market. The man, however, is very much still in the market. Even as a married man, Lagos girls want him more.
“This is because, as a married man, he shows a sense of responsibility, he shows a sense of financial stability, and he knows how to spoil a woman.
“Married men in Lagos are even hotter than single men because single men cannot provide as much as married men. This is me not endorsing dating married men, but this is based on what I have seen.”
Tolani Baj is becoming renowned for her outlandish opinions, which often unsettle certain sections of society. If she’s not strutting her stuff on the decks, she’s stirring up something to the discomfort of some.

Outrage as lawyer assaults wife in front of kids
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has vowed to take swift action after a disturbing video of lawyer Opeyemi Mabawonku allegedly assaulting his wife verbally and physically.
The CCTV footage, dated October 27, 2024, shows Mabawonku, who is believed to be a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), in a heated argument with his wife Abiola over suspected infidelity.
The video captures Mabawonku shouting, throwing objects, and threatening to smash Abiola with a flower vase.
“I showed you the message and told you there was nothing between both of us. Are you unfortunate? I am warning you,” he yelled in the video.
“If you do not call anybody you are a bastard. Are you crazy? Do you want me to lose my job?”
Abiola, on the other hand, appeals to her husband to restrain himself, warning him not to hit her in front of their children.
“Be careful. You know the children are here. Whatever you do here the children are watching. Do not touch me. I will call my dad. I want to make you lose your job. Or it is the consequences of your immoral attitude?” she said.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many users calling for accountability and support for Abiola.
