Lagos state government to probe DJ Kulet’s husband over child molestation allegations
The Lagos State Government has waded into the child molestation scandal involving Ohis Emmanuel, the husband of popular disc jockey, Kudirat Gbemisola, also known as DJ Kulet.
DJ Kulet had taken to her social media handle on Monday to announce her separation from her husband, alleging that he had been involved in child molestation and infidelity.
The government, through the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, however, condemned the action and expressed its readiness to probe the allegations.
In a statement on its social media handle, the agency wrote, “We appreciate everyone who brought the incident of child sexual abuse posted by @Olamide0fficial to our attention. As the statutory agency in Lagos State dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this very seriously.
“Violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against it. We have reached out to DJ Kulet via Instagram DM, but if anyone has more information, kindly get in touch with us immediately.
“Please use our toll-free hotline: 08000 333 333 or send us a direct message through our social media platforms. Every child deserves protection, no matter who they are or where they come from!”
The DJ claimed that her husband had been involved in the dastard act for a very long time, and that she had forgiven him occasionally, leading her to contract infection three times.
She wrote, “I, DJ KULET, am publicly disassociating myself from my ex-husband, Ohis Emmanuel (aka Benjamin), due to his egregious and reprehensible actions.
“Despite overwhelming evidence (including chats, photos, videos, and voice notes) of his infidelity, he has refused to change his ways. The final straw was the shocking discovery of his prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old minor, which occurred under my roof for six months.
“Previously, I had forgiven him after he shifted the blame for his infidelity to external influences, unaware of the extent of his abuse. Further investigation, including a video confession on December 28, 2024, revealed that he had also molested his 20-year-old cousin, resulting in her contracting an infection, as well as her friend. His predatory behaviour predominantly targets minors, and he continues to engage in infidelity with multiple women. In our short-lived marriage of less than eight months, I have treated infections three times.”
In another video making the round on social media, the estranged husband was seen confessing to child molestation while seeking forgiveness from his ex-wife.
The Lagos State Police Command has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
Attempts to reach the spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, proved abortive as he did not respond to calls made to his telephone. A text message sent to him had yet to be responded to as of the time of writing this report.

Eight passengers injured as bus crashes into median in Lagos
At least eight people sustained varying degrees of injuries after a commercial bus, popularly known as a Molue, crashed into the road median at the Ahmadiya axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Friday.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Taofiq explained that the accident occurred when the bus driver veered off the road in an attempt to avoid colliding with pedestrians standing at the bus stop.
He added that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the median and overturn, leading to injuries among the passengers and the driver.
Taofiq stated, “The accident was triggered when the vehicle, registered as KTU 801 XM, lost control due to excessive speed, reportedly caused by driver impatience.
“In an attempt to avoid colliding with another LT commercial bus and pedestrians waiting at the roadside, the driver veered sharply, resulting in the bus crashing into the expressway median and overturning.
“Eight individuals, including five men and three women, sustained varying degrees of injuries. Among the injured was the bus driver, who suffered a fractured left arm.”
“The injured victims were taken to Ile-Epo General Hospital thanks to the swift response of LASTMA personnel and officials from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).
“LASTMA officers promptly arrived at the scene, executing a coordinated and efficient rescue operation.
“All victims were immediately handed over to LASAMBUS medical personnel and transported to the General Hospital at Ile-Epo for urgent medical attention,” Taofiq added.
Reacting to the incident, the LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, through Taofiq, sympathised with the injured and urged motorists to prioritise safety at all times.
“He emphasised the paramount importance of adhering strictly to traffic regulations, particularly compliance with speed limits as prescribed by the Lagos State Government.
“Mr Bakare-Oki also implored both commercial and private vehicle operators to prioritise regular vehicle maintenance, especially of critical systems such as brakes, to prevent avoidable accidents,” Taofiq noted.
