Back in the saddle: Obasa re-elected as Lagos Assembly speaker
Mudashiru Obasa has been re-elected as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. This decision came after Mojisola Meranda resigned from the position, effective immediately. Obasa was reinstated during Monday’s plenary session.
Earlier this year, Obasa faced impeachment by members of the Lagos State House of Assembly due to various allegations of fraud. However, he has now been returned to his role as Speaker.
