BPP begins training on procurement rules in North-West, North-East
The Bureau of Public Procurement has commenced training on its newly revised Standard Procurement Documents in the North-West and North-East zones of Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by Zira Nagga, Head of Public Relations at BPP, Abuja.
Nagga explained that the training aligns with one of the bureau’s core functions, as stipulated under Section 5(m) of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007.
He noted that the bureau had reviewed and updated the Standard Procurement Documents to ensure that procurement stakeholders fully understand the latest revisions and can apply them effectively in the procurement process.
“In line with this, BPP, in collaboration with the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme, has organised a three-day physical training programme in the North-West and North-East regions of the country.
“The training will take place from May 19 to 21 at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano, Kano State,”
Nagga added that the training targets BPP-certified procurement officers within Ministries, Departments and Agencies, state-owned universities, SUBEB procurement officers, as well as contractors, consultants, and service providers.
