Christ didn’t die for us to become rich, Woli Arole argues

Actor-turned-preacher Woli Arole has frowned at the growing influence of money and materialism within the church.

He argued that Christ’s sacrifice was not about accumulating wealth but about attaining eternal life.

Arole urged Christians to “wake up” and reevaluate their priorities, cautioning that the pursuit of wealth has overshadowed the true purpose of spirituality.

He said the modern-day church has become too centered around wealth and this shift in focus has led many believers astray.

He wrote: “I say this as God’s prophet: Mammon is already creaking into the church, the talk of money, the worship of money. Christ did not die so we could become rich; he died so we could have eternal life. Wake up, oh saints. Share this message!!”
