Kiddwaya calls out Nigerians for ‘worshipping politicians’, sparks mixed reactions online
Kiddwaya stirred serious conversation online after criticising Nigerians who praise politicians publicly but only complain on social media when bad decisions affect everyone.
The reality star said many people “hail and beg” politicians in real life, yet come online to “cry” instead of holding leaders accountable. He also added that most of the backlash he receives comes from people who “only insult and make jokes” instead of demanding better governance.
His comments triggered quick reactions:
A user pointed out that even though Kiddwaya’s message had some truth, his own father has been involved in politics, adding that Nigerians often rely on outside help when real action is needed.
Another user challenged Kiddwaya directly, asking him to show what personal steps he has taken to hold the government accountable
Someone else agreed with Kiddwaya’s point, noting that many Nigerians attack pastors and celebrities but still praise politicians when they see them in public — only to return online to complain when things go wrong.
