EFCC Boss, Bawa, Appears In Lagos State High Court To Testify On Subsidy Scam (Photos)
Abdulrasheed Bawa, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), today appeared in court to testify on the ongoing trial of Abubakar Ali Peters and Nadabo Energy Limited for alleged N761.6m subsidy fraud.
The case which is before Justice S.S. Ogunsanya of the Lagos state high court, Ikeja, was adjourned yesterday owing to the absence of the defence counsel.
The EFCC is prosecuting Peters and his company on a 21-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence, diversion of federal government funds and forgery.
