Harry and Meghan move Archie, Lilibet from UK school after two days over security concerns

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from their new school in the United Kingdom just two days into the school year following security concerns.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision after discussions with their security team about the practicalities surrounding the children’s school arrangements.

Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, had recently started attending the British school following the family’s return to the UK from California.

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan stressed that the decision was not connected to dissatisfaction with the school or its staff.

The couple expressed gratitude to the teachers and staff for the care shown to their children during their brief time at the institution.

Reports indicate that concerns centred on the distance and traffic involved in travelling between the family’s residence and the school, which created difficulties for their security arrangements.

Archie and Lilibet are expected to continue their education at another school.

The development comes as Harry and Meghan’s security arrangements in the UK are undergoing renewed scrutiny following their return to Britain.

Harry has previously challenged changes to the police protection available to him and his family after the couple stepped back from their roles as working members of the Royal Family in 2020
