Tyler Perry reveals why he has no plans to get married
American filmmaker, actor and producer Tyler Perry has revealed that he does not plan to get married, explaining that his decision is largely influenced by his concerns about divorce.
Perry shared his thoughts during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he discussed his views on marriage and relationships.
According to the filmmaker, marriage itself is not what concerns him. Rather, he is worried about the potential financial consequences that can accompany divorce.
Perry said he has watched people he knows experience serious financial setbacks following the end of their marriages, an experience that has influenced his personal decision.
“It’s not the marriage that bothers me. It’s the divorce,” Perry said.
He added that people he knew who had previously been financially successful but later struggled had experienced divorce, leading him to prefer remaining unmarried and maintaining his freedom.
Perry, who has built a successful career as a filmmaker, producer, actor and entrepreneur, has generally kept much of his personal life away from public attention.
His latest comments provide another glimpse into his views on marriage and why he has chosen not to pursue it.
