President Buhari inaugurates projects in Borno — after ISWAP attack (Photos)
President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, inaugurated projects carried out by the Borno state government.
Buhari also addressed troops of operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri.
Yesterday, the Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) launched multiple rocket attacks on Maiduguri ahead of the president’s visit.
The explosives landed in several areas, including Ngomari, Bulumkutu, Ajilari and Ayafe communities within the metropolis.
The insurgents were said to have launched the attack from the outskirts of Auno which is about 15 kilometres away from the city.
Babagana Zulum, the state governor; Abubakar Ibn El-Kanemi, Shehu of Borno, and Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna, were among those who were with the president in Borno.
