Burna Boy to co-host AfroBank FM radio station in GTA VI
Nigerian music star Burna Boy will feature as an in-game radio host in Grand Theft Auto VI, with Rockstar Games confirming that he will co-host a station dedicated to African music.
Burna Boy will join German DJ and producer Palms Trax on AfroBank FM, appearing under the in-game names “Burna” and “Palmsy.”
Rockstar describes the station as a mix of African music spanning older classics, lesser-known recordings and contemporary sounds including amapiano and 3-step.
The official preview includes music from Nigerian singer Asake, Ghanaian musicians Pat Thomas and Ebo Taylor, and South African artists DJ Lag, Robot Boii and Kamo Mphela.
Burna Boy strengthens connection with GTA franchise
The new role expands Burna Boy’s previous relationship with the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
His collaboration with Zlatan, “Killin Dem,” previously appeared on iFruit Radio, while his music has also been connected with GTA Online’s Cayo Perico content.
This time, however, he will take on a direct radio-presenting role rather than simply having his music included in the game.
AfroBank FM is one of several celebrity-hosted stations Rockstar has revealed ahead of GTA VI’s release.
Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey among GTA VI radio hosts
Other artists confirmed for the game’s radio lineup include Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robyn, Trick Daddy, Trina and Slayer members Kerry King and Tom Araya.
Bad Bunny and RaiNao will feature on the Latin-focused Cocoteo FM, while Lana Del Rey and Morgan Wallen are associated with Back Country Radio.
Rockstar has also announced on-demand fictional podcasts, expanding the audio experience beyond the traditional car-radio system used in previous GTA games.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
